I can not say anything bad about this place. The food was amazing and some of the best Chicken Fried steak I have ever had. The service was great also. I beleive the owner came and talked to us a couple times and the waitress, though busy provided good service and was nice. We WILL be going back.

A very good dining experience! We arrived right when they opened for lunch on Sunday and had a great meal. From appetizers to dessert, good food, good service, good job! I had the Farmer Burger, my wife the chicken fried steak, my daughter the chicken strips. All done very well, moist, came out just as ordered. Great job guys.

Dinner was good. But, the apps make The Barn 4-star. Get the cheese curds and the pretzel bites! Damn fine munchies!

Delicious, homey, comfort food. We really enjoy eating here! It's about a thirty minute drive from the West side of town but well worth it! The service is awesome and the staff are very nice. We enjoy the nachos as an appetizer and the potato bowls for dinner! They have great salads as well!

Overall a positive experience. I do prefer my fried pickles without pepper but the breading and pickles had good flavor. Loved the chicken fried chicken, homemade rolls, decore, cherry pie, and ice cream. The iced tea however tasted a bit sour.(Maybe the dispenser tip needs cleaned or a fresh batch brewed?) Super friendly waitress. Also might try delivering the ticket on a piece of less glossy wood. The finish makes it difficult to sign the ticket for payment processing. Would be willing to come back to sample other menu items. Sure they are delicious.

I've heard nothing but rave reviews. Took my wife there for our anniversary. We don't salt our food, so it was extremely salty to us. Service was good. Just not our thing.

We had the best birthday celebration and their food and hospitality where spot on perfect! All of the food delivered hot and together for a group of nearly 40 including kids. The chicken fried steak was one of the best I have ever had!

First time visit for dinner this weekend. Added our name to waitlist via Yelp-which I'd recommend. Great decor and layout. Service was great and our food was plentiful and delicious! We'll be back. Highly recommend.

Always a awesome place to eat. We always go middle of the afternoon, and there's half price appetizers. Food is SO GOOD!

Husband had the sirloin dinner and I had their 2 taco special! We each also had desserts! Cherry pie and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting!! Walked away full!! Service was great!

Everything was good except for the busboys, who was wearing jeans too big for him and no belt, on one trip he almost lost his pants and had to pull them up to avoid dropping them. Call me old fashioned but this is not something I want to watch in a place that I eat. The management should require a belt be worn if your jeans are obviously to big.

Lowell, a Kansas farmer, took us to The Barn. Jason and Lowell ordered The Bowl, a specialty. It included nugget size pieces of crispy chicken fried steak in the mashed potatoes and corn. Busy and popular place. Fun. Unique atmosphere. We had a good time drinking beer. Service was fast and friendly. Grain bin is the bar. We liked our experience.

It's a really cool place. Good chicken fried steak and deep fried mushrooms. We also liked there deep fried okra. Will definitely be going back.

Chicken fried steak was excellent. Good size and well cooked. It was so tender I didnt even need a knife. The wait staff was pleasant and friendly. If ever you find yourself in Burrton Kansas stop in and eat. It's well worth your time and money.

The tea was not home brewed, that's a downfall for a real "country cooking" restaurant, Some bottled junk. Food was good though. Meat tender, batter a little thick. Service was so so. I ran out of water in my glass. we got there at 11am. We were the only people there so our waiter could've been on top of it more. We even had to go to desk and ask for our check.

I had the chicken fried chicken, fried okra, and green beans with a roll and the sweetest butter to spread all over it, and peach flavored tea! Absolutely delicious!! I can't wait to go back! It's totally worth the short 45 minute drive from Derby!

This was our first time there. Our waitress Amanda was very friendly. I ordered the ribeye, my wife the strip steak, my mother in law the chicken fried steak. All were cooked to perfection, and delicious. We will definitely be going back to try the rest of menu.

Beyond delicious! Most amazing food, service and atmosphere! We had Nancy asvour server and she is a manager! Least the board said Nancy...we had a meeting there and they were more than accommodating of our needs. I will wat there again and take my family because the price on food was incredible! Portion sizes are huge!!! Just WOW!

I love this place! Food & service is awesome! We always sit at the bar to eat dinner. Tonight we were accompanied by 3 YOUNG boys! I find extremely irritating when I'm sitting in the bar drinking adult beverages! I should be surrounded by adults!

This place is amazing and the food is fabulous with large portions and a home cooked menu. My husband and I have lived in Burrton for 4 years and have never tried eating at The Barn until today and it was such a good experience that they now have our business

One of the best home cooked style meals my wife and I have had in some time when eating out!! The staff is OUTSTANDING and friendly!! Definitely will be returning to try other things on the menu and enjoy the personable staff!!

Nancy was a great server! Dinner was great. Very affordable & considering how busy they were service was top notch! This was the only local place we stopped during our week here in Kansas. #narrowroadschoolers As traveling foodies we tend to hit the local fare and this place did not disappoint! I cannot say enough good things about theBarn. My husband and I eloped in Austin earlier this year, but absolutely wanted to have a little celebration with family. Half of my family lives in Kansas and I wasn't familiar enough to decide on a place to go eat. My aunt suggested theBarn since they have a large room perfect for big groups and I'm so glad she did.Nancy took such good care of us. We did photos before and the moment we were done, the food was ready to go since we were all hungry! Everything was delicious, all was home cooked and tasted like it. It's a very cute place too- so rustic and homey.Go here to eat, go here when you have an event, just go. Everyone is super nice and all the food is great!

The service and food was amazing! It's not super pricey, and the wait was short.

The short version is: They will seat other people who came in after you (more than once). Very unorganized. The service was terrible, not only the manager couldn't be a host but didn't know how to take care of guests like a manager should. Table service was bad too. Our water came after the food. Had to ask for our table to be wiped down. It will be a long time before I go back. I was very disappointed and NOT worth the drive from Wichita. The food isn't as good as all the hype. Chicken fried steak looked good but was tough and you couldn't cut it with a fork. The chicken fried chicken could be cut with a fork but the breading was overcooked. The wings weren't good and the onion rings were frozen.

Second time in row we asked to NOT be placed at the high tables,called ahead one hour again , and that's all they had ,or a 1 HR + Wait , Shrimp had a weird texture,not a shrimp Flavor. Thinking seriously of looking for a diff eating place Servers were great .

The lunch special today was chicken fried steak and even though it was 'lunch' size, it was more than enough (and it was delicious). Light, flaky breading; creamy mashed potatoes and fresh corn. Oh, and if you come to the Barn, you have to try the cherry pie, too.

Great atmosphere. Clean. Friendly. A little over priced.

This place is popular! For good reason- great country cooking in a barn! It's worth a night out!

We always enjoy eating here and always get the Chicken Fried Steak which my wife and I agree is one of the best around. We are more than happy to bypass 20 other closer places and make the 30 minute drive.
